International student recruitment is a competitive arena. A top Russell Group University in the UK wanted a global campaign to raise awareness and recruit international students. They wanted to aim at 12 target markets for 16 different course areas. They also wanted to increase brand awareness and gather leads to convert through CRM.
International student recruitment needs a solution that takes into consideration the audience, the country that they live in and the platforms on which they could be found. Our long history of tackling this problem and our research led us to target these audiences outside of the standard social channels. We looked at channels that were applicable to the age, nationality and interests of the students. Through continuous monitoring and optimising of these campaigns, we delivered a campaign that went above and beyond client expectations. It was able to engage with an extremely difficult to reach audience.
